Chris has been creating evocative images of the western United States since 2003, looking for opportunities to bring the Wild into viewers' lives when they cannot travel to or otherwise connect with the freedom of nature. His goal in his landscape photography is to touch viewers with the power, the wonder, and the beauty of the natural world, and to give them—through an image hanging on the wall of their house, apartment, or office—an escape into the Wild.
In 2017, Chris moved to the Albuquerque area to be closer to the stark beauty of the Four Corners and the surrounding landscapes, both natural and man-made. "There is such an amazing variety of compelling natural beauty here that I am never satisfied with the small fraction I have been able to capture."
In addition to presenting his work at the Gallery, he is developing new classes in photography technique and Photoshop editing skills. His personal website is www.cksandbergphoto.com.
