Mellany Herrera

First let me say that I am very blessed to have the opportunity to hang my work with some of the best Photographers in Albuquerque and in the best Photographic Gallery in town.  My passion for Photography did not start as a child getting her first camera, or art classes at a University.  It started as an adult who loves to travel with her husband and family and wanted to remember all the special places we visited.  The more we have traveled  the more my interest has developed in Photography.  Now I see places with my mind as a viewfinder.  Thinking of the composition, the lighting, how I will eventually develop the photograph.  The process that I use most to develop my prints is a process call High Dynamic Range or HDR photography.  The central premise of HDR photography is that there are very few situations where a single digital photograph can capture the true dynamic range (the total range of light in a scene, from very little to too much light).  The process of bracketing your exposures and merging them together gives photographs an enhanced contrast, accentuated detail and allows me to put my own vision to create inspirational photographs.
