What’s inside the window is a mystery while the familiar kitchen chair links the past to our present. Ever since a child I’ve been intrigued by ghost towns. While doing hydrogeology work in Northern Nevada I came across the town of Cherry Creek in the foothills of a basin & range string of mountains. To me this photograph, Window with Chair speaks to some of that forgotten history. (Captured on film using a Plasmat lens; archival silver gelatin fiber print, matted and frame-ready.)
